This February Goodwill Industries- Knoxville will partner with local dry cleaners throughout our 15 county service area to host a clothing drive. Participating dry cleaners will collect and dry clean gently used items donated by their patrons. These items will be given to Goodwill stores and resold in order to benefit Goodwill's job training and placement programs.

Connie's Kitchen is owned by Connie Emmons. It is located 10 minutes from downtown Knoxville in Seymour. Connie's is open from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.. Tuesdays through Saturdays and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sundays. Part of proceeds are often donated to local charities such as Children's Hospital and Lions Club.

Costco opens in West Knoxville

A brand new grocery store and retail chain opened in West Knoxville Friday morning.

Dozens of customers were waiting in line when the new Costco opened at 8:00 am.  Many of them say they have been eagerly anticipating the brand name, bulk foods retail giant.

The 146-thousand square foot facility has everything from electronics, to name brand clothes to food.

This is the fifth Costco in the state, and customers were excited about the new shopping option.

'Knox Cash Mob' heads south to Stanley's Greenhouses

 

The Knox Cash Mob is headed to South Knoxville once again, and this time the mob will visit Stanley’s Greenhouses and Plant Farm on Davenport Road from 3-6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27.

“Stanley’s is a great local business with deep roots in Knox County, and, like so many businesses in our community, they are being impacted by the current economy,” Knox County Mayor Tim Burchett said.  “I hope folks from all across the county will come out to South Knoxville to support this long-standing local business.”
