Knoxville Horror Film Festival
October 25-27
Thursday at Regal Cinemas Downtown West 8 at 1640 Downtown West Blvd, Knoxville, TN and Friday & Saturday at Relix Variety Theatre at 1208 North Central Street Knoxville, TN 37917 

The 4th Annual Knoxville Horror Fest features shocking short films with submissions from around the region and the world. This three night film festival has an admission of $10 per night or $25 for a festival pass.

On Friday, October 26, put on your favorite Halloween costumes and join the fun for this "howling" good party at James White's Fort. Event will include music by the Chillbillies, an appetizer buffet, spooky decorations, silent auction and assorted Halloween hi-jinks. Tickets are $75 per person. All proceeds benefit James White’s Fort and its preservation and educational programs.

Freaky Friday Fright Nite

Calling all ghosts and goblins! The Town of Farragut will host Freaky Friday Fright Nite from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Mayor Bob Leonard Park on Watt Road. The event will provide a safe place for children to participate in Halloween activities while benefiting the Knoxville Ronald McDonald House. Children age 12 and under in costume are invited to “trick or treat” around the walk trail at the park. Local businesses, community groups and Town volunteers will hand out the treats, provide games with prizes, assist with cookie decorating and serve refreshments.

Friday Night 5K Zombie Run

The Friday Night 5k is a annual event hosted by Clinic Vols, a University of Tennessee student organization that staffs over 10 elementary school clinics in Knoxville with over 400 volunteers. Proceeds from the Friday Night 5k go directly to stocking clinics with all necessary supplies and training our volunteers, as well as to support the local Knox Area Chapter American Red Cross. This year's Friday Night 5k will be a "Zombie Run," so dress your best for the costume contest! The race begins at 6 p.m.

Halloween Comedy Booze Cruise

The 15th installment of the Comedy Booze Cruise is a costume party to celebrate our favorite holiday of the year. Comedians J.C. Ratliff, Taylor Hiner, Dugan Broadhurst, Grady Ray, Michael Dougherty and Dave Wright will be on hand bringing the funny. The Comedy Booze Cruise is a two hour riverboat cruise on the Tennessee River and Lake Loudon. An ADULT stand-up comedy show is held on the boat and two cash bars are available.

This event features, a costume parade for kids and pets, a kid's zone, craft demonstrations, arts & crafts vendors.

Boo at the Barn hosted by Horse Haven

Come and 'Nicker Treat' with the horses at Horse Haven of Tennessee. This is a free event that volunteers put on to say thank you to the public for their continued support. There are treats for the kids, smores by the campfire, donuts and cider, face painting, story telling and a special haunted barn for the not so weak of heart. This year there will be a pumpkin decorating contest. Bring your pumpkin and compete in different catagorys for special prizes. All the pumpkins will be donated afterwards to the childrens hospital to help them celebrate. The event takes place from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Trick or Trees at UT Gardens

Scare yourself silly as you take part in 5 different activity stations throughout the UT Gardens. Learn about bats, jack-o-lanterns, and other creepy crawly creatures, and make a ghostly craft to take home. Don’t forget to wear your best costume. Cost: $6 per child (12 and under) Time: Noon - 4 p.m.

Happy Hollerpalooza

The 7th Annual Happy Hollerpalooza Street Fair. Saturday, October 27th, 12-5 PM. Free prize drawings, ice cream, kids bounce houses, live music, vintage motorcycle show and tons of other things going on all day. Best of all there is no admission and plenty of free parking! Come on down to the "Holler" and enjoy a day of fun for the the whole family!
