An East Tennessee organization that was thrust into the national spotlight is about to take on a new project to help dozens of local families.

Daniel and Mandy Watson were featured on Extreme Makeover Home Edition back in January when they received a new home in West Knoxville.

They are the co-founders of Restoration House, which provides guidance and assistance to single mothers in the Knoxville area, and now they're planning a new building project.

The couple bought six acres near their new home and plan to develop 24 units of housing for single moms and their children. They call it "The Village."

Once it is finished, Restoration House will allow families to live there for up to two years until they're able to move out on their own.

"What The Village means for these families is no longer will they be isolated across the country, but a community for single mothers where single mothers and their families are supporting one another to change their future," said Daniel.

Restoration House is still securing the funding it needs for The Village.

They hope to break ground in February and finish The Village by October 2013.
