KPD: Suspect threatened 2 women, stole a car

Knoxville Police are looking for a man who cut a woman while trying to steal her car, then threatened another woman at knife point to get her car keys.

This happened on Sunday, March 30, just after 10 p m in the Kroger parking lot on Chapman Highway.

The first woman said she was sitting in her car when the man came up to her and started asking questions. She said he started yelling at her and demanded her car keys. As she drove away, he cut her hand with a knife. She was taken to UT Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.

The man then ran up to another woman in the parking lot and demanded she give him the keys of her car while he threatened her with the knife. The woman threw her keys on the ground and ran away. She wasn't hurt. The suspect drove off in her burnt orange Nissan Quest.

The man was described as 5'9" with a skinny build and brown hair. He was wearing dark blue jeans and a button-down shirt.
